Tiffany Yee of Denver beat out more than 45 athletes from across the country to be crowned Ms. Fitness USA 2008.

The competition was held in Las Vegas on April 14. The judges scored contestants on beauty, poise, public speaking skills, fitness routines and overall physique. At the age of 39, Yee is not only the oldest competitor to have earned the Ms. Fitness USA title, but she is the first woman of Asian descent to have won in the competition’s 23-year history.

A former Denver Broncos cheerleader, Yee lives in Denver, where she is the owner of Body Statement Gym. In representing the U.S. at the Ms. Fitness World competition in Las Vegas, she placed 9th overall in the world.
